Professional & Service Experience

Each role below is described in terms that reflect the habits and capacities most relevant to legal study: interpretation of rules, precision in writing, institutional responsibility, advocacy, judgment, and leadership.

Philips MRI Patient Care — Systems Engineer, Research & Development Co-op

January 2026 – Present • Full time

Regulatory research, standards interpretation, risk analysis, and cross-functional dispute resolution in a medical-device environment.

At Philips MR Healthcare, a specialized division focused on patient monitoring systems for critically ill and neonatal patients in high-risk MRI environments, I hold ownership of SpO2 system requirements supporting the development of MRI-compatible patient monitoring systems. My work requires in-depth research into national and international medical-device standards and legislation to ensure compliance across 1,500+ product requirements while upholding organizational ethics and safety obligations.

I participate in risk analysis and standards interpretation for technologies used in critical-care environments and lead cross-functional teams to resolve diction and legal-adjacent conflicts before verification and validation. This role has given me direct experience in how formal requirements are interpreted, negotiated, and operationalized inside a highly regulated technical institution.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — Fundraising Volunteer

August 2023 – Present • Part time

Advocacy, coalition-building, and mission-driven communication in support of pediatric cancer research and family care.

I contribute to raising over $56,000 annually for pediatric cancer research and family care programs through large-scale events, grassroots fundraising campaigns, and community partnerships. My responsibilities include coordinating outreach to corporations, small businesses, student organizations, and individual donors in ways that build trust, increase engagement, and encourage recurring support.

This experience has strengthened my sense that strong institutions depend not only on technical competence, but also on persuasion, stewardship, and the ability to mobilize people around a public-serving purpose.

TKE Board of Advisors — Housing Director (Volunteer)

January 2024 – Present • Part time

Governance, property oversight, safety planning, and agreement review for a 100+ member organization.

I advise a 100+ member college fraternity each week on housing maintenance, safety, and operational planning. I also participate in reviewing and negotiating property-related agreements affecting chapter facilities and long-term occupancy decisions, which has given me practical exposure to how governance, property obligations, and organizational risk intersect.

In addition, I lead more than $36,000 in annual property renovations, balancing cost, safety, logistics, and stakeholder expectations. This work has sharpened my judgment in settings where responsibility is ongoing and decisions have real financial and institutional consequences.

Varsity Tutors — Personal Tutor & Substitute Teacher

June 2023 – Present • Part time

Writing instruction, analytical communication, and educational support in underserved communities.

Through Varsity Tutors, I teach English Language Arts classes in underserved South Florida schools as a substitute teacher and group tutor, expanding access to quality academic support. I have also tutored 100+ students in writing instruction, grammar, and STEM subjects through individualized instruction designed to strengthen analytical reasoning and communication skills, with 94% achieving or exceeding academic targets.

This role has been especially formative because it reinforced the connection between clear communication and meaningful opportunity. It also deepened my conviction that intellectual rigor has its highest value when it can be translated into accessible language that helps others succeed.

Sandhurst Construction — Sole Proprietor

May 2023 – Present • Part time

Independent client management, budgeting, technical execution, and accountability from start to finish.

As sole proprietor of Sandhurst Construction, I have provided independent construction and repair services for residential and commercial clients on projects ranging from $500 to $10,000. My work has included designing and implementing a load-bearing wall, a commercial pressure system, and a large covered patio, while managing budgets, materials selection, and client requirements from project intake through completion.

Running this work independently has required practical judgment, responsiveness to client interests, and an appreciation for how safety, cost, and execution intersect in concrete ways.

Daniels Manufacturing Corporation — Engineering Intern

May 2025 – November 2025 • Part time

Federal specification review, revision traceability, and documentation discipline in mission-critical aerospace tooling.

At Daniels Manufacturing Corporation, a small business known for mission-critical aerospace tooling, I interpreted formal specification requirements supporting federally regulated programs to produce 20+ tooling designs and 30+ technical models for military tools. My responsibilities also included maintaining revision traceability, coordinating cross-team approval of design changes, reviewing 600+ technical drawings to verify conformance with federal standards, and executing 45+ Engineering Change Orders.

This role deepened my appreciation for the importance of documentation, institutional procedure, and precise compliance in environments where standards are mandatory and errors can have outsized consequences.

YMCA — Lifeguard (Shift Lead)

May 2023 – August 2025 • Part time

Duty of care, emergency response, conflict resolution, and rapid decision-making under protocol.

As a shift lead lifeguard, I maintained responsibility for participant safety and conflict resolution and responded to 20+ on-site incidents, including a cardiac arrest. I completed 40+ hours of certification training in emergency procedures and safety protocols and regularly exercised rapid judgment under established response guidelines.

This experience taught me the seriousness of responsibility in environments where decisions are time-sensitive and directly affect others’ safety and well-being.
